Took my pet because she wasn't feeling well and VCA was at capacity, so they referred us here. Upon arriving they assessed her and mentioned she might have parvo, so they took her in and did blood work and Xrays. Everything came back normal, so doctor advised she should spend the night to keep her on IV since she was dehydrated. She mentioned she would need an ultrasound and medication to treat her ( Treatment for who knows since they didn't find anything wrong with her). Estimate was 5k or so. With Xrays, blood work and consult I paid about 1k. Decided to take my pet elsewhere and turns out she had parvo and was it was advanced. Wish they would have double checked as the other vet mentioned she had all the symptoms. Very dissapointed in their service. Would not be coming back.

It's been 4-months, I am so sporry for dropping the ball on such a ringingf endorsement I'm providing. I'll mnake it simple as not to reloive the moments prior. Mydear 12-year old cocker, Sir Lancelot, had cancer in 2018 and it was expelled. A spoy showed up on his long, April,n this year. As helpfuln and talwented as the Vet/Group?Woodland Hills is, They prepared is for hospice and the end. We took Lance to ACCESS andn it was an episode of Grey's Anatomy (Imagine a hospital that cares - I work at one, I've worked at many, they all do NOT care for their people). Lance was greeted with love, attention, professionalism, and a dutyn to make him (and me) well. God shame me for forgetting her name, But the doctor called me and again like a line from the hit series, explained exactly what she is goinmg to do to save his life with utter confidence. I made the mistake of going online for outecomes and was alomst 5150d. Let's cut to the chase: He came home a different, more vibrant Lance 4-dfays later. He is cancer free. That medical center is sent from God - someone te;; me the name of my vet, I want her as my PCP - not kidding. And....6/4 stars if I could

My 4 year old dog became very suddenly sick - depressed, and wouldn’t open his eyes. The vet thought it was nothing until he started showing signs that his brain was affected (acting unbalanced and pressing his head on things). That day we went immediately to the vet hospital. My dog got worse very quickly. We transferred my dog from ASEC to ACCESS because ACCESS has neuro. It was ~7pm when we transferred. In vet care, there are no ambulances so you have to drive pets from hospital to hospital. So once they said the transfer was arranged we transferred our very sick dog and his little IV. He survived the transfer! So I carried his little sick neuro-vocalizing (an ominous sign) body in and give them the folder and that we were transferred from ASEC. Despite how obviously sick he was, and that the vet had accepted the transfer, the guard told us to sit and wait in line to be triaged. I had to push to get them to take him, and acknowledge that they had accepted the transfer. We had a phone call with the vet to discuss the care plan/vet bill. Plan was intensive care/monitoring overnight, then Neuro first thing in the morning. We then paid the bill. I called to bring up a concern I had forgotten with the vet. My ICU friend told me my dog should still be on Mannitol and to ask about IV prednisone. She told me they never should have stopped the IV mannitol when he transferred. Prednisone could potentially reduce brain swelling/keep him alive. I told the vet would call back within the hour, no call. I kept calling back every 2 hours or so overnight - but was told the same thing: vet would call back soon. I was up all night waiting for a call or an update, checking in every 2-4 hours. This dog was my child. Early in the morning I learned that my dog only had two sets of vitals checked all night. That is wild given that he was allegedly getting ICU care and had just had mannitol earlier that day. Moreover the second vitals they took were trending worse and borderline out of range. The vet tech I spoke with refused to take an additional set and acted like I was being difficult. I was promised that I would be called with any change in condition. I later found out that my dog’s blood pressures had increased and he had had a seizure in the early morning. It felt like the staff deliberately hid it from me. The following day, the new team referenced the seizure and was surprised no one had told me. By the time he got his MRI his brainstem had herniated :-( The neurologist was good but too late. After the MRI they restart the mannitol and prednisone, and frequent/ongoing vital sign monitoring. Just like I had been told to ask the vet for the night before. My dog died that evening. To add insult to injury we were asked to sign consents for euthanasia, just after we held his body and said our goodbyes. It felt ironic given that his death felt like access had killed him, obviously without consent.

I would only go here as a last resort if your pet is in really bad shape. Otherwise you will wait for hours and may never see a doctor if more more urgent cases come in (or as they imply). We waited here for 5+ hours, saw multiple dogs that did not appear to be in poor shape (walking in on their own accord and walking out with lots of energy), that came in after us and seen substantially quicker. Maybe they were in bad shape but it seemed unlikely. We left after 5+ hours after the no indication we would be seen any time soon.

Hi Dawn, The cost for care varies depending on the case and patient. Please call us at 310-558-6100 to get more information and to schedule a consultation with our Bone & Joint Center.
Yes
You should call ahead of time just to get an estimate but it is not free. They do treat you kindly, or at least that was my experience.
Yes it is expensive but they were the only ones who saved my puppy when other clinicals did nothing for him
89$ for my next APPOINTMENT and i believe emergency is a bit higher
I think they can, but it won't be cheap.
