My mom is currently in the hospital there. She has been in rough shape. She just asked her CNA for some water and was told no. The CNA told her just after 6pm she wouldnt be able to get to it tonight because she is the only one. My brother was on the phone with her and heard it all. No one is so understaffed they have to let a sick patient do without water

I went here for the first time last night thinking it would be quicker than the medical center; I was strongly mistake. I have chemical burns on 4 of my finger tips and was told by a nurse my sister knows to get to the ER immediately, and if you Google chemical burns it tells you to seek immediate care. When I arrived, there were 2 people in front of me, and it still took 5 and a half hours for them to get me back. When I finally got to a room and the doctor came in the ONLY things she asked me was what I was there for and if there was any chance I was pregnant. Without even touching my fingers and looking at them for maybe 2 seconds, I was told “There’s nothing I can do for you, wear gloves.” She walked out and said she would get me fixed up. The nurse came back with my visit summary papers and told me I was free to go. When we got back to the waiting room to leave, a guy waiting asked how things went and we told him. He said the lady that came out before us said they told her the same thing and she had a miscarriage. I understand things get busy and it takes a while to get back sometimes, but when the doctor is only in your room for one minute, that’s just plain out ridiculous. If you want to actually receive care, I would suggest going anywhere else but here. I am very disappointed.

I set up a payment plan immediately after they were done dealing with my insurance. It was automatically taken out of my account every month for 5 months. Then it wasn't. I immediately got ahold of them to find out what was going on and NO ONE KNEW ANYTHING and kept saying their supervision would call me back but never did. So I kept calling back until someone told me they had sent me to collections while I was on a payment plan making payments!! And by the time I got a letter from the creditors they'd turned it in to the credit agencies and my score dropped 91 points. Unorganized and unapologetic. I have receipts so going through a dispute right now but it's ridiculous. If you're paying anything out of pocket, good luck. You're gonna need it.

I took my daughter there for a crisis situation. They were pretty quick at getting us to the back. All seemed fine other than admissions didn’t have me sign anything. We were waiting on someone from crisis to come speak to her. That does take a while sometimes and I understand that. In the meantime she goes to use the restroom where the ladies room had feces all in the toilet and on the seat and down the side. We went to the mens room where urine was everywhere. A little over an hour later I noticed my daughter having seizure like activity to which I asked the security guard to get a nurse. The nurse came in, looked at her, I mentioned a seizure and she asked if she’s ever had one and I told her she has a history of them. My daughter wasn’t responding to the nurse and she checked her blood pressure and said she was going to get the doctor. 27 minutes later NO doctor! My daughter sits up and begins throwing up everywhere. I go back to the hall to get someone so I can clean my daughter up and no one is around, except a lady reading her book. I guess she was a sitter, but offered no assistance to get someone. I ended up leaving with my daughter. 20 minutes after leaving they call. I speak to Lance who says I can’t leave with her. I did leave with her and went to Johnson city where so far the doctors and nurses are on top of things. I have been to Sycamore a few times before and never had an experience like what we had tonight! It’s an ER, things aren’t going to be perfect or fast but the neglectful things that went on tonight is enough that I will NEVER go back. Just thankful my daughter is receiving the care she needs elsewhere. Even though it’s much busier and a little slower the care is so much better!

Yes that is normal for them.
Yes but it's not open a lot
Our MRI is not standing. Closed Magnet 1.5 Tesla; kind of looks like a toliet paper roll open on both ends of tunnel. Typically you lay on your back.
I would guess probably not... Especially if it's an ER visit... I think any hospital kinda has to 'see you'
Rooms are single occupancy except sometimes during the winter when flu cases cause them to run at ermegency capacity.
Yes
