We stopped here to split up a drive to the beach with 2 young kids. Once checked in we almost turned and left, but it was getting late and we didn’t know if anything in the area would be much better. It is not a great neighborhood. My husband couldn’t sleep all night because he felt he had to be awake to protect us. The room wasn’t great. None of the plug ins by the bed worked. My husband is an electrical estimator and took a quick look behind the bed to see if it was anything obvious and found exposed terrible wires which didn’t make us feel great. There was at least one dead bug smashed on the wall upon arrival. The morning of checkout we found a cockroach on the curtains. The one plus was that the pool seemed to be maintained well enough and they had a guy out hosing the pool deck off in the morning and making sure everyone was out of the pool at closing time.

My husband had to get a room for a few nights and I joined him in the end but the room as far as I could tell was clean although the phone did not work in the room and the owner said the phones in most the rooms were not operating correctly. The location is great because it's in the middle of town and close to everything but we checked out early and were told they would have to check with the accountant to get our $400.00 back they owe us and this has been over a week and still nothing! Not sure yet if they are going to be one of those places that try to scam you out of your money they have no right to keep. We checked out before checkout time so we should be refunded for the remaining days. I'll update my review and give another star if our refund processes properly. This location use to be the Holiday Inn and has an indoor pool and hot tub, which is awesome, there is also a place for a restaurant and several banquet rooms or conference rooms that are just sitting there empty not being used and another room where the salon use to be and there is a bar that is also no longer being used....all of these things were active and being used when this was the Holiday Inn and I definitely liked the hotel way better then than what it is now. I was surprised they kept the pool and hot tub open and operational and that they were actually clean.

Price is decent. Hotel is outdated. While we were waiting to checkin the manager was talking to a lady, he seemed to know very well if you know what I mean and it was not his wife, that was telling him her child was running around the room without a diaper and she would clean it up if the child used the bathroom in the floor 🤦‍♀️. Multiple shady people walking around. Got to the room. Carpet was dirty. A hole punched in the wall. The pool was nice. The lady upfront was helpful. Other than that the room seemed to attracted sketchy people but you get what you pay for 🤷‍♀️ OH and the bed was super uncomfortable!! My back has been hurting for 2 days!

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!! The front desk employees were nice but the hotels conditions are HORRIBLE and the hotel should be closed down. We stayed from 4/1-4/4. When we first arrived we turned on the AC because the room was so hot and immediately began having allergy issues- inside room so no chance it was coming from outside. The issues continued until we turned the AC off- so in order not to be miserable our room was hot the entire time. They over shocked the pool which resulted in my leg having chlorine burn/rash. I am still in a lot of pain, burning, and itching over it. My hair now feels like straw as well. We smoked outside and watched SEVERAL drug deals being carried on out back. I reported them one night, but the next night it was the same. Even local restaurants called the hotel a "drug hotel". That's not cool when you are worried for your children's safety. There were people disturbing the peace while beating on other people's doors trying to gain entry after the people inside had declined to let them in. We watched as a man was looking inside an orange newer Mustangs windows- apparently looking for something to steal. No coffee in the lobby after breakfast. Indoor pool but the doors outside were left open so the inner area was very cold. Horrible experience! My legs still in pain. Wasted over $300 on one of the WORSE hotels we have ever stayed at! I spoke to the front desk before we left and simply got an "I'm sorry"- even after showing them the burns on my leg. Quality Inn in Newport, TN is a HORRIBLE hotel!

Questions & Answers

Very dirty, beds had not been changed, found food crumbs in the bed. Pool and hot tub were green with slime and scum. Do not recommend.

Awesome. Nice warm indoor pool and hot...hot tub. Sure a little old and a little rundown. But still worth the money and in great location.
