HP2 is fine for the price. My experience with the management/maintenance has been great. Most of the maintenance request I put in the night before got resolved the next day -- some times even the same day. My A/C broke on a Sunday, and the manager Jason was able to get a technician to fix it later that day. The unit I lived in had washer and dryer included. All utilities were included in rent -- even electricity and basic Internet. The reason I give only 3 stars is purely because of the state of the building. The management mentioned anecdotally one time that the building was built in the last century, and it really showed: - The interior of the unit (at least mine) still showed significant wear and tear even with new paints. Lots of significant water damage in the bathrooms as well. - The floor plan was very compact and dated. I lived in a 2-level unit with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. While the 2 of the bedrooms were adequately big, the living room was very small, and the kitchen was even smaller. The ceiling was very low on the lower level. - Most of the windows were very small comparing to the room size, which made lighting very poor. - The floor seemed very thin that walking on would cause it to squeak, which was also audible from the level below. - The surrounding environment was very critter-friendly. Lots of bugs, and lots of predator of bugs (spiders and birds), and some of them may find way into the unit. During the cold winter of 2020~2021 I even had a rodent infestation and an ant infestation. - The insulation was terrible for both sound and heat. The temperature of my room on top level can change several degrees throughout the day, worse in the summer. - By the time I moved out, the pavement of the driveway was still terrible, and some parts of the cement sidewalk was also falling apart. - I didn't care that much about appliances, but the microwave I had in unit was super small. Only after moving to a newly built complex did I realize how long I have not realized the condition of the building was that bad, but these may not be as big of the deal to you. Even though I appreciate the quick maintenance responses, they could not even do the place justice.

The apartments are a nice size and are reasonably priced. Management is not great. I put in a work order about brown recluse spiders in my apartment and within an hour, maintenance/management closed out the work order without the work being complete. There was a note that said "we will get exterminator out" I also added a note on the work order because we like to have notice before someone comes out to work on our apartment, which is allowed by law. Heard nothing from Hawks Pointe for 3 days, called the office and said no one had responded about their call, I had worked with the same extermination company and it rarely takes longer than 1 day to get a response from them. I called the extermination company myself to get a status update about 30 minutes after I called Hawks Pointe. When I called the extermination company, they said Hawks Pointe had just called and they were trying to get something scheduled... 3 days after the request was made. Not to mention the extremely loud neighbors and the crime that goes on in this area as well. If you are a student and want to live somewhere cheap, but still want to feel safe and taken care of, spend a little extra money to live somewhere with better management.

I live at Hawks Pointe 2 & I really like my 2 bedroom apartment. The gym is awesome & and they always have things for there tenants to do. Tonight is Taco Tuesday & the kids are looking forward to the Easter Egg Hunt & Pizza party! I think that’s a great was to get to know our neighbors & have fun! Thanks for all you do! Oh I only had one work order & they were quick to come out!

Hawks pointe is one of my favorite dances! Although the buildings are ancient, the front leasing office and maintenance staff have always been kind and helpful! The new maintenance manager is incredible and saved my life one night by going above and beyond. Other tenants can be dodgy, but they're working hard to get rid of them, thank goodness!
