If you are taking about the RESCUE MISSION I will AGREE!! The RESCUE MISSION feeds the POOR PEOPLE in the community just like a REFUGEE camp in a 3rd world country feeds the people in the REFUGEE camp or WORSE!! GREEN COLD CUTS, DONUTS that you need a SLEDGEHAMMER to soften up before you can eat them!! But the HEAD HUSTLER at the RESCUE MISSION gets PAID $165,000. Per YEAR!! That's is $3,300.00 a WEEK!! Got to keep FOOD COSTS down so the DIRECTOR can get PAID & VERY RICH!!
Center your valid points for those who are fulfilling a vital responsibility, such as county executive and the new police chief. Otherwise, you'll need to start your own petition. Great observation. I agree the application is not a good thing.
I totally agree with you I understand people need to get paid but at what rate. Sometimes only 5% of the money goes to actually providing help at some of these organizations I'm not saying this one cuz I don't know the exact statistics and numbers but it definitely happens.
Not a good source for volunteer work

Yes, you need a number if you don't have a number you have to sign up for one. After you get a number every time you come to eat just give them your number. And I know this because my mother signed me and my siblings up when we were kids ,my mom used to bring us down there ,and to this day. I still do go down there at least 3 times every other month. My siblings don't go down there anymore because they don't like the atmosphere
Yes you would be able to and they will help with a case manager and they will help you obtain an apartment and any other resources you might need. They also have a thrifty store where you can get clothing plus they have hot meals too.
Go to the MISSION TEMPORARILY until you get on your feet!! Do not make a LIFE LONG CAREER of being on WELFARE!! The MINIMUM WAGE is now $11.75 in NEW YORK STATE!! Go to LABOR READY and get a JOB!! You do not need a RESUME, and They have many TEMP to HIRE positions!! EVERY MORNING ask yourself, " WHAT am I going to do POSITIVE to get my LIFE on TRACK TODAY!!! GOOD LUCK!! I was HOMELESS for 120 days in 1997--98 !! Since then THROUGH HARD WORK and DEDICATION I have been a SELF EMPLOYED PLUMBER since 2001!! You can also do that!!
Thank you for your inquiry, Daniel. You can send a cash donation to our main office: Attn: Development 155 Gifford Street Syracuse, NY 13202 You can also make a donation online at RescueMissionAlliance.org or https://bit.ly/2AAGYc1 Thank you so much for your generosity. God Bless.
I'm looking for a place for myself
I haven't a clue as to what the above person is talking about. I know this for a fact that most of the people who go to the mission don't want any jobs don't really give a damn if they get help or not. Most are addicts and are just using the place as a base of operations to continue using and abusing the system. The mission is not a drug program equipt facility. So offering drug addicts jobs is a waste of time. They only interested in three hots and a cot. You can't blame the mission for not being able to help every body who walks in the door.
