The restrooms and showers could be cleaner. Cobwebs everywhere. Very dark during the day. Even worse with my transition glasses. Some campers are rude. People walk right through your campsite. Between tent and vehicle, or campfire and tent. Had a whole family walk through over the gravel patch. Unbelievable. Another campsite had a party going on late into the night. Park rangers told them multiple times to be quiet, but started again when they walked away. Park rangers had to call the cops around 1am. I enjoyed the entertainment and music for a while, but they were just a-holes to keep disrespecting everyone else.

Was a nice campground. I kind of wish we were not just passing through for the night, as there is a beach near by, little golf course if I golfed.. There was plenty of shade, so that was nice. Campground was a little rowdy, but we chose a spot right next to the water and if we were there to be a little rowdy it would have been perfect. Campground did get immediately quiet at 10. Most people were respectful of the rules. Reserve early because as we pulled in to set up almost every spot was reserved. We stayed in campsite 246. I was able to find as spot that was level for the tent, not too far from the restrooms, backed up to the water. Overall a nice Campground and a pretty good place to stop half way between Denver and Lexington

Questions & Answers

Is there green algae in this lake

The beach near this campground is very "clean" for a lake with sand and a cement pathway that extends into the water. If you go past the " swim area" demarcation the floor of the lake is your typical mud. This lake is not overrun with plant life if that is your concern. There was a case of blue green algae in a different part of the lake earlier this summer but testing has shown it is no longer present.
