I recently joined the Club as a member but I've been attending to their firearms classes for several years now. Everyone is knowledgeable and friendly; I feel welcome there. I'm now participating in the shooting matches too. I can't say enough about the warm, welcoming and safe environment at AVGC.

I have been an active member of this gun club since 2017 and can say with 100% certainty that this is the best club and best group of people you will ever get to know. While we all enjoy our personal shooting time at the range, we also have classes and programs designed to educate the community. Many people that participate in our events open to the public realize how amazing the club is and choose to join. We are an ALL VOLUNTEER organization and the people that choose to step up and help manage the club are true leaders. The cost to join the club is minimal for the access you will have as a member. We are open 24/7. While outdoor shooting must stop by 10 p.m. our indoor and archery ranges are open around the clock. You can come as much and as often as you want. If there are things you would like to see happen at the range, you can become an active participant and engage the entire membership. For example, we recently started a brand new 2-gun PCC match because it was championed by an individual member. This club is incredible to be part of and we would be happy to welcome any member of the community willing to take part in making the club the best and safest place to shoot in the High Desert.

FYI to members and people considering joining- If you are a member and do not receive your renewal because they never seem to be able to update your mailing address when advised, when you finally remember you should have received it and try to pay (to late) they gouge with late fees of $100. They pretty much get free money from me for years because I hardly ever used it, maybe once a year, but they still want to gouge $100 for late fees, no other club anywhere in High Desert does this, not worth it anymore (you can still take the classes there as a non member)…. And I happily pay the extra $100 annually every year for “volunteer time” not a problem. Also, if mailed to the wrong address you would have received it back so why wouldn’t you call/text/email-hey-your packet returned, dues due come get it and pay???You can shoot for free in the desert right across the freeway…🤷🏼♀️ Lucerne Valley Lions Club membership is much less and for a good cause and they never gouge members and it’s a very cool range, and Barstow Range membership is also cheaper and worth it without the gouging. I’m sure I’ll hear about this review from people, but this is ridiculous, this is not an “elite high end” place and if your getting money from people that never use it, you should take it without adding ridiculous late fees. Not renewing and paying the late fee on principle at this point…to the AVGC hierarchy-update addresses when given and don’t have ridiculous late fees.

They have different clinics where you can try put different guns. They practice excellent gun safety. Great place!

No. The range is member owned and operated. We don't have any business facilities to rent anything. However, you can probably find members willing to loan you a gun if you go with them to the range. (The range is also not open to the public, except for specific events. Members are welcome to bring guests, however.)
Yes. .22 rifles are allowed at the pistol ranges.

I'm a member of the Apple Valley Gun Club, but not speaking on its behalf.... I'm just a member who thinks it's a great place to shoot safely and legally. The club is owned, operated, and only open to its members. There's no charge to use the facilities, but there is an annual membership fee. That being said, however, the club does have numerous special events and classes, which are open to the public. Also, members are allowed to bring guests with them to the range. If you're interested in seeing the facilities, giving them a try, and seeing if you might want to join, there are many of us members (including me) who would be happy to meet up and shoot with you. Check out the club web page for our calendar of events, membership info, etc.: http://www.applevalleygunclub.com
They were.... Hope you found the calendar on the club web site in time.
Yes, there are many events that are open to the public. You can come to one of these events and check out the range while you were there. All of the events are listed on the calendar on the Apple Valley gun clubs website
Go to the AVGC website to download the application and get all of the information on how to join and other information on the club itself.
Our meetings are currently held on the second Wednesday of every month at the San Bernardino County Fairgrounds.
