St. George is scamming college students, who just moved to the area and don’t know where to live. They advertise that they have great facilities, views, housing and activities but the only actual good thing about it is the close proximity to the campus. Upon moving in, our apartment was very dirty and the furniture was work out and messed up. I put in a cleaning request, which they responded to that they already cleaned it, but did not. Throughout living there, my roommates and I submitted more than a dozen maintenance requests, since everything in the apartment kept falling apart including the plumbing and appliances. There were multiple instances where our building didn’t have water. Parking was also one of the biggest issues I encountered personally, which I payed 100 dollars a month for. My car was vandalized multiple times, to where I had to submit a police report but since St. George never checked the cameras there wasn’t anything they could do. After finally moving out at the end of my leave, I did not receive ANY of my $500 security deposit back, and was actually billed $66 more. The charges were for cleaning, which was $270 for each person in the house, even though we thoroughly cleaned it before moving out-unlike the previous tenants did for us when we moved in. We were also charged each $196 for painting of the unit, which was definitely not necessary. I tried to go to the office and ask for an explanation but the staff was very unhelpful and rude, not letting me explain and telling me they can’t do anything and I would have to email the leasing office-which I had already done but had not gotten a response. TWO MONTHS after my move out date, I get a response from the leasing office, discarding everything I had said in the email prior and just said I have to pay the remaining balance. Absolutely absurd. I highly recommend looking elsewhere for housing, and not using large companies that just want to make money and don’t care about the well being of their residents.

Life is too short to spend your time and (too much) money at this greedy, dirty community full of poorly motivated, spoiled teenagers who love abusing their newfound college freedom and allowances. You will never get a security deposit back, and you will lose half your braincells by the end of the first semester. Lived here for two years, and I can confidently say it only negatively contributed to my mental health, study habits and general motivation. There is black mold, broken appliances, awful parking availability, and management who will find an excuse to charge you for any and every possible violation. But hey, at least you're close to the beach and cc campus.

i wanted to sublease my room, and my subleaser was ready to move in, but he was told for several weeks from the office "You can´t move in yet, it´s not ready yet" even after having signed the contract. this left my subleaser homeless and having to spend several nights in a hotel, having to borrow money from his family and now is in an extremely bad economic situation the whole summer because of Beach city. in the end, he never got to move in, they didn´t say anything else than "it´s not ready yet"
