My wife and dined at The Caroline on 07/19/2022 and had dined at this restaurant several times in the past 2 - 3 years. We had an early dinner (5:15 pm) on the outdoor patio which is nice. Our server was efficient but not friendly or personable in any way -- not even a smile. In her defense, she could have used more help which caused the service to be slow, but not terrible. We had wine by the glass -- the pours are very generous and the wine was good for the price. They make a nice martini, as well. I had a filet mignon with onion rings and also the French onion soup. My wife had a seafood entre. We were generally pleased with the food, especially the steak. I would love to give The Caroline five stars -- we live in Troy and enjoy dining there. However, until they improve their service and the demeanor of their staff, I cannot give this place 5 stars. That said, we will definitely return and will take our friends. I realize that it is challenging currently to find qualified servers. Let's hope that the situation improves.

BillsFlippn Finds (Bill's Bargain Barn)

Appetizer wasn't very good(crabcakes) for the price. Entree was delicious. Service was terrible, our waitress made us feel like we didn't belong there and heard her talking about another customer because the customer asked her how much a soft drink was. She is Definitely in the wrong profession. Will not go back.

Finally got a chance to eat here and it gets 5 stars. Even though it was busy, we were served fast. Had a nice bottle of wine, crab cakes, and the egg rolls. All delicious. The steak was nicely cooked and they have a good selection of veggies (green beans, asparagus, and even sweet potatoes). We will definitely return, especially for a date night. Lovely environment. p.s. 5 $ too; you WILL get what you pay for though.

I thought my food was acceptable. I got the 16 ounce ribeye with fries and button mushrooms. I have to say for a restaurant to have a steak that thin is a disappointment for me. It may be cooked properly in the center but the rest of the meat is always going to be well done. My wife got the fish and chips which was very disappointing. The service was absolutely fantastic as was our bread and our egg roll appetizer.
