Melissa does an excellent job with blond hair. She is very talented. The salon has recently had price increases which I wish I would have been informed about prior to my visit. I paid $321.00 for a full highlight and hair trim. This is out of my budget but I couldn't cancel at this point without being charged the cancelation fee. I love Aveda products and may consider returning to another more affordable colorist.

Honestly, pretty bummed with management on this one. I’ve been to this salon off and on for years. I went in Saturday and asked for a refresh of my existing style, which were soft face-framing highlights and long layers. Not sure how, but that was misunderstood and I had my hair seriously messed up by a stylist over the weekend - I politely called and asked to get it fixed, completely understanding that mistakes happen (it’s okay, it’s just hair!). Mikel was awesome as the receptionist and worked with me, and Brooke moved her schedule to get me in for an event that night. Brooke really saved what she could even though the mistake wasn’t hers to fix! But we weren’t able to fix it. Today, I’ve lost at least two inches, my hair is damaged from the unnecessary processing (my natural curl pattern is damaged too), and I’m nowhere near how I expected to be. I still have harsh lines, patchy color, and a blunt/uneven cut. Management was not willing to comp the fix, even after I’ve already spent more than $200 and several hours of my own time. As a customer, I always appreciate when people acknowledge mistakes and try to help make it right. Brooke and Mikel did just that. Management should really consider their approach in the future, because unfortunately I will not be able to return to a business that doesn’t value their customers (especially when they’re just trying to fix your mistake).
