On Sunday, 4/10/2022, I had a very unfortunate and negative experience as a patient in the ER under the care of Joseph Wolf, MD, ER physician. Joseph Wolf, MD was asked to wait “outside of the curtain” for my personal/privacy/modesty reasons by the ER nurse, Tara Darling, RN. Despite being asked by the ER RN to wait outside the curtain for two minutes while the EKG was being performed, Joseph Wolf, MD peered over the curtain to view me through the mesh section of the fabric curtain while I was partially undressed. It was a direct request of the ER RN for Joseph Wolf, MD to wait for two minutes; my modesty was not respected, nor maintained. It was an unnecessary violation of my personal boundaries and it was a terribly unfortunate and upsetting experience. As a medical professional, I fail to understand the actions and behavior of Joseph Wolf, MD. Additionally, Joseph Wolf, MD stated, “your story seems long” and he asked if he could grab a chair. Of course I obliged Joseph Wolf, MD, as it is about the comfort of the ER physician over the actual ER patient. The level of care I should have received should not have included a physician violating my personal boundaries. My request demonstrated a reasonable expectation of privacy. The nursing staff and nursing supervisor seemed unperturbed by the actions and behavior of Joseph Wolf, MD. No apology was offered by Joseph Wolf, MD. I felt violated by Joseph Wolf, MD so I signed out against medical advice. I paid my bill directly and did not go through insurance. First impressions are lasting impressions.

My father went to the ER yesterday because he has dementia and ripped out his Super Pubic catheter and came back with a Foley catheter instead. His super pubic catheter is now shut tight. No one at the ER could give me any answers. No one …

Nearly killed me… Brought in with low sodium levels and brain lesions… had Brain MRI which showed signs of several neurological conditions. Was sent to psych and treated by Dr. Winn and received Haldol and other psychotropic medication… forced to take or threatened with court. Ended up down stairs with such low sodium levels I could have died… after medical treatment I started acting “normal” but was sent back to psych. No apology or acknowledgment that my diagnosis / treatment should have been medical… was told the improvement was due to “Abilify”. Had to do what I had to to get discharged. I plan on seeking justice.
