I had high expectations, given the great reviews and pics online. The atmosphere is really nice, but unfortunately, the food was disappointing. The spicy scallop roll was too small (see pic). The dragon roll was bland. And the chef special was awkward to eat because the sashimi was under the maki, making it hard to pick them both up together with chopsticks. The fried rice also lacked flavor and had an odd texture because it was a really short grain.

Worst sushi of my life! Terrible experience don't go there. On Sunday night I went to the so called renowned restaurant and everything was terrible starting from the unmentionable service. The first thing I say is that I am pregnant so I can't eat raw fish at all since it was the first time I went there I ask the waitress what was cooked and therefore what I could eat from the menu she recommended as cooked some kind of tuna patty. I arrived at the table given also the little brightness from the place and the very long wait to get my first dish I put it in my mouth and the tuna was raw. What if I had been allergic? What if this caused problems for my pregnancy? Incommentable very serious mistake. Also the tuna tartar that I unfortunately tasted before I spit it out was completely inedible truly a horrible taste of fish gone bad covered in spices. We were with other friends but my husband was only swallowing the tartar because of the beer. Also according to him really inedible the worst of our life. Also I in addition to a Coke order sparkling water to share with the table and the waitress pours everyone San Pellegrino and not me and pours tap water in my glass. Later I had half a glass of sparkling water in my glass and she takes my glass pouring tap water into it mixing it . Why? I asked for fried rice for my 3 year old daughter and in all restaurants they serve children first my daughter had to wait to eat her rice minimum one hour and she was hungry. We had to remind her because apparently they had forgotten. They brought an extra Coke on their own initiative charging for it without request. I got panna cotta for dessert why make an Italian dessert if they can't make it? A horrible panna cotta with no mushy taste the worst even that as an Italian I have ever tried. Sushi, fried rice, and vegetable nuddles really nothing was saved I wonder how they get positive reviews. After all that happened they didn't even offer a discount. But tip was included unfortunately but the waitress really didn't deserve it.

Their sushi is very fresh, they offer a large variety of Chinese and Japaense fare. Thursdays they have a omakase special for $47. It was absolutely delicious and lots of food. The fish was as fresh as a $150 omakase. Every day they have a different special. Plenty of vegan options as well. The servers have great knowledge of the menu and are very attentive. I recommend Tanuki..
