Honestly I don't know but it seems like from my experience all Publix deli's are like that. I want to say they may have a legitimate reason because of being right near the court house and all the downtown area but all of the Publix deli's are slow I stopped ordering from that section a long time ago probably 5 years ago. I totally agree with you too slow and unmotivated.

No. In the United States, we don't employ those under 16. Child labor laws do exist. Publix would never employ any 14 year old, as they are a major corporation. Wish people would not answer wrongly and act like they know what they are talking about. This is the US, not a 3rd world Latino nation that employs children.

When they built the store they included strips that I believe are magnetic under the ramps, parking lot perimeters and outside the doors that will make the wheels lock so the carts don't get stolen. The only way to unlock them is with a special key or remove the wheel. Those carts are expensive!
