I called the company about 30 minutes ago, the representative asked me to spell my name and last name, say my phone number plus alternative number and my email address, then told me someone who knows about my requests and needs will be calling me in a little bit to give me the information I need. About 30 minutes later β€œAshley” called me to basically ask me again what is my name and phone number and that she will have another person who knows about my needs and requests will call me back, I told her I already gave all that information and even had to spell my name and last name so they should have that information already in the system. She got angry and told me I can either give her my information again, or she can’t help me with nothing else. Very rude, extremely unprofessional, if this is the beginning just to ask about prices and services I don’t want to see the rest. Thanks but I’ll take my business elsewhere

Questions & Answers

What type of hard landscaping services do you offer?

Sam Smith | Sep 6, 2022
Eden Landscaping and Lawn Care | Sep 6, 2022

Patios, paths, retaining walls, and masonry are just some of the features that can be integrated into your new garden. We also lay block pavers for driveways.

For my lawn, what is the best mowing height?

Ray Hudson | Sep 6, 2022
Eden Landscaping and Lawn Care | Sep 6, 2022

3-3.5 inches is the recommended lawn cutting height. Taller grass is better able to tolerate the impacts of heat and drought. Most importantly, taller grass provides ground-level shade, which inhibits weed development. As a result, fewer herbicides are required to control weeds.

What are the benefits of employing a professional lawn care service?

Joe A. Tyrell | Mar 17, 2022
Eden Landscaping and Lawn Care | Mar 17, 2022

It is up to you whether you hire a professional or not, but paying close attention to your lawn will reap a slew of benefits. It will create a wonderful space for you and your family to enjoy, as well as increase the value of your property, provide oxygen to the environment, and chill the area around your home, making the job of your air conditioner easier. A healthy lawn will also have a deep root system, which prevents erosion, runoff, and contamination of the groundwater source. Dust and other contaminants that we want to avoid can be trapped by healthy lawns.

When is the best time to aerate your lawn?

Melinda N. Mandel | Mar 17, 2022
Eden Landscaping and Lawn Care | Mar 17, 2022

"Aeration is most effective during the growing season, when the grass can repair and fill in any open areas caused by the removal of soil plugs. When you aerate your lawn, you can remove soil plugs, which are 5cm chunks of turf. This isn't a problem! Aerate your lawn in the early spring or autumn with cool-season grass and in the late spring with warm-season grass."

Is an irrigation system required?

James Little | Mar 17, 2022
Eden Landscaping and Lawn Care | Mar 17, 2022

Irrigation systems are not required to maintain the health of your grass or plants, but they can be beneficial. Irrigation eliminates a lot of the hard work that watering entails, and it reaches areas of your lawn that you might otherwise overlook. A hose and sprinkler can save you money, but you must set timers and manually move the sprinkler around your yard. However, either technique has the potential to waste water. Finally, you must determine whether an irrigation system is appropriate for your requirements.

Will you still treat my lawn if it rains?

Keith Gray | Feb 15, 2022
Eden Landscaping and Lawn Care | Feb 15, 2022

While we can work in most situations, there will be times when an effective treatment is simply not possible, such as when there is high wind or snow. If this is the case, you will be alerted and a new appointment will be scheduled.

Do you create ponds and other water features?

Smith S | Feb 15, 2022
Eden Landscaping and Lawn Care | Feb 15, 2022

Ponds are something we design and construct. The crew has extensive experience with garden aquatics and can make recommendations for aquatic plants that will help your new pond establish itself. We also install fountains and water features that can be used to create gardens that are modern, traditional, or contemporary.

What kinds of hard landscaping services do you provide?

Sam Smith | Feb 15, 2022
Eden Landscaping and Lawn Care | Feb 15, 2022

Patios, paths, retaining walls, and masonry are just a few examples of features that can be incorporated into your new garden. We also lay driveway block pavers.

What exactly is "Core Aeration," and how can I tell if I require it?

Keith Gray | Feb 15, 2022
Eden Landscaping and Lawn Care | Feb 15, 2022

Aeration loosens the soil, making it easier for air, water, and fertilizer to reach the grass roots. Aerating your lawn also aids in the reduction of thatch, the release of compacted soil, and the stimulation of root development, all of which contribute to a healthy lawn. This is one of the most beneficial things you can do for your lawn once a year.

How do I get rid of wide-bladed grass (not crabgrass) in my yard?

Smith S | Feb 15, 2022
Eden Landscaping and Lawn Care | Feb 15, 2022

This is quack grass, a type of perennial field grass. Unlike crabgrass, which is an annual grass, these unwanted grasses can only be killed with a "Round-up" type treatment (which kills all grass and plants). If you want to kill this grass, apply Round-Up to it and a foot beyond it, wait 5-10 days for it to die, then tear it up, add dirt, and re-seed with a good grass seed mix.

How can I successfully reseed the dead areas of my lawn?

Sam Smith | Feb 15, 2022
Eden Landscaping and Lawn Care | Feb 15, 2022

Fertilizing your lawn can help it fill in the majority of the empty spaces less than 4 inches in diameter (unless the spots are shade damage, disease or dog damage). Rake out dead thatch and loosen the dirt with a rake, then cover with straw and add fresh topsoil and seed. Sprinkle the sown areas every day for 15 minutes; seed will sprout best when temperatures reach the mid-60s or higher. It takes 10 to 30 days for grass seed to germinate. Be patient and water on a regular – but not excessive – basis.

During a drought or dry season, how often should I water?

Can Ottawa | Feb 15, 2022
Eden Landscaping and Lawn Care | Feb 15, 2022

One inch of rain each week is required to maintain your lawn healthy this time of year. If the weather is dry, we recommend watering your grass for an hour every 5 days in each area that your sprinkler covers. Watering is the first line of defence against lawn illness and damage, and it will aid in the recovery of your lawn.

Should I pick up my clippings or let them fall to the ground?

Ben Wyman | Feb 15, 2022
Eden Landscaping and Lawn Care | Feb 15, 2022

Blowing grass clippings into the lawn is better for your lawn since they decay and restore nutrients to the soil.

What are the finest lawn mowing techniques for maintaining a healthy lawn?

Lavonne E. Buckner | Feb 15, 2022
Eden Landscaping and Lawn Care | Feb 15, 2022

Proper mowing techniques are critical for the health and preservation of your grass. Too short mowing weakens grass root systems, thins the lawn, reduces drought and disease resilience, and promotes weed population. Set your mowing height for the spring to at least 3 inches, and don't cut off more than 1/3 of the grass blade per mowing (cut when your grass is 4-5 inches high). Keep your cutting blade sharp and don't collect your clippings (unless you have grass clumps) because they disintegrate and return nutrients to the soil.

How do I repair yellow burn marks caused by overuse of fertiliser?

Joe A. Tyrell | Feb 15, 2022
Eden Landscaping and Lawn Care | Feb 15, 2022

The grass can be replaced. We recommend that you cut out the area, remove 1 inch of soil, and replace it with new soil and seed to help it blend in faster.

How much water should I give my lawn?

Melinda N. Mandel | Feb 15, 2022
Eden Landscaping and Lawn Care | Feb 15, 2022

To soak the soil deeply, most lawns require 1 to 1.5 inches of water per week, which can come from rain or watering. Maintain a proper drainage system and avoid overwatering your lawn.

Which type of soil should I use?

James Little | Feb 15, 2022
Eden Landscaping and Lawn Care | Feb 15, 2022

Melinda N. Mandel | Jan 16, 2022
Eden Landscaping and Lawn Care | Jan 16, 2022

There are several moss killers you can apply to the lawn but these work for the short term. Moss is an indication of an acidic lawn or too much shade on the lawn. Do a soil test on the lawn to reduce the lawn's acidity.

Are dead leaves harmful to plants or soil?

Sam Smith | Jan 16, 2022
Eden Landscaping and Lawn Care | Jan 16, 2022

Water cannot reach the soil if the leaves are larger or thicker. However, dead leaves are normally useful because they are environmentally friendly, but try to pick them up as soon as possible because they might block water and nutrients from reaching the soil. Chopped leaves, on the other hand, offer nutrients to the soil and can also help weeds die.

What Should I Do with the Grass Clippings?

Henery Green | Jan 16, 2022
Eden Landscaping and Lawn Care | Jan 16, 2022

When it comes to lawn care, putting your grass clippings in a bag isn't always a good idea. This is because they operate as a natural fertilizer, shade the soil from the sun's heat, and help to retain moisture. You may wish to bag some or all of your cut blades if your grass is too tall and you have a lot of them.

Bryan M. Wilson | Jan 16, 2022

Is Lawn Fertilizer Important?

Ben Wyman | Oct 18, 2021
Eden Landscaping and Lawn Care | Oct 18, 2021

Yes, to answer your question quickly. To stay healthy, lush, and green, all lawns require the right fertilizers. Your grass must expend a lot of energy to establish strong, healthy roots and green growth. Because most soils are deficient in nutrients, fertilization is critical. Plants require six primary nutrients to thrive. The first three elements – carbon, hydrogen, and oxygen – are obtained from air and water. The other three elements – nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium – must be obtained from the soil or applied fertilizers. Nitrogen aids in the production of new growth in plants. Phosphorous promotes root and seed growth. Potassium increases the general health and vitality of plants.Regular fertilizer will assist your lawn fight environmental challenges including cold, heat, drought, lawn mowing, and foot traffic by stimulating grass growth. Your lawn care specialist can help you figure out which fertilizer is appropriate for your grass type.

What Is the Best Time to Plant New Grass?

Charles Brett | Oct 18, 2021
Eden Landscaping and Lawn Care | Oct 18, 2021

The optimal time to plant a fresh grass is in the early fall. The weather in Miami is starting to cool down, so it's time to seed or sod before the cold weather arrives. Overseeding is the process of directly seeding grass seed into an existing lawn. It can help elderly lawns that are looking worn and thinning. It's a simple technique to fill in barren places, boost turf density, establish improved grass kinds, and improve the colour of your lawn when done correctly. Sod offers an instant lawn that can be laid down in one day, but it is far more expensive than grass seed. Grass seed costs roughly $20 per 1,000 square feet of lawn surface, compared to sod, which can cost up to $100.

Have we completed our fall cleanup?

Charles Brett | Oct 18, 2021
Eden Landscaping and Lawn Care | Oct 18, 2021

Depending on the trees on your property, leaves may fall continuously throughout the fall season. Our crews will pick up leaves while servicing the property on their weekly visits, so our clients may believe the official Fall Clean Up has already occurred. This can be stressful, especially if they know that more leaves will fall in the future. As previously stated, our official Fall Clean Ups are far more thorough than simply blowing leaves from flower beds.
