It is not French. It is Spanish (Europe) is not a monastery but the cloister of the Cistercian monastery of Santa María la Real de Sacramenia (Segovia), from the 12th century. In 1925 William Randolph Hearts bought it and brought it piece by piece. He was 25 years disassembled in a warehouse in NY.
