Beautiful rooms. Quaint. It's a beautiful place for a wedding dinner, wedding, social gathering, or formal meeting. I took my grandaughter up to the house to take her pictures for Christmas. The hostess Amanda makes you feel at home, keeps the place very clean.

BEWARE BEFORE BOOKING! We rented the entire home where we planned to host our wedding reception and to provide our overnight guests accommodations. When we took possession of the house we found the entire home to be dirty, the manager, Amanda, to be extremely rude, and the owner, Gary, very unhelpful. We even found many light fixtures did not have working bulbs. My wedding party along with family and friends worked tirelessly to vacuum, clean bathrooms, dust, clean patio, and wash windows. There were clumps of dirt in the Mufti room that had not been cleaned before we took possession. The Stein bathroom had “body hair” trimmings in the floor that had not been cleaned. Honestly, too many dirty things to mention. After all our work, we were informed 3 hours before our wedding ceremony that we had to move venues do to a sewer issue in the basement. While is was a very frustrating experience, we are so thankful that we were able to move our venue to my parents home where our day was perfect!

CANT say we enjoyed this! It was a place to lay your head down. And THATS IT! Have stayed at B&Bs all over this Beautiful Country. And this one shouldnt be in that class. We saw NO ONE! NOR BREAKFAST. All we got was a text (with instructions) and a bill left on night stand. This place is NOT for Disabled. Heard foot steps once. Very old home. And it showed on the inside. Cobwebs in windows, inside/out. Mold in shower area. I really dont like to give negative reviews. But we had to stay in town for business, and the hotel we heard wasnt great, so we choose here. If this town wants people to spend money here( to help economy) they need better places to stay. Nice people everywhere else in town. But the SOCIALHouse isnt very Social!

We have tried to like this place. We want to like it. But the past 3 times we have stayed here, there’s no breakfast, the breakfast is moldy, milk expired or there’s no coffee. Horrible service and the manager is not hospitable and really doesn’t understand the meaning of what a bed and breakfast is. Don’t waste your money. Drive to Evansville and let the Social House place go under without your money. Incredibly disappointing. And you definitely will never speak to owner. They refuse to give out that information.
