You don't have to have a bank account but it helps getting the most money. The flex loan is an income based loan.
Also the maker of the check has a certain amount with their bank. Corporations have larger limits for payroll, and smaller organizations or individuals have respectively smaller limits. However you cannot write a check to yourself or to cash at Advance Financial, this is considered a loan, unpaid until the check clears.
