Prima Dental tries their best to skirt around your insurance and charge you out of pocket. Truly I have no idea how they got so talented at it. I switched to them after several years at another dentist without once being personally charged and in the year or so I’ve been here they’ve tried to charge me at every visit. X-Rays, fillings, cleaning, you name it, they’ll find a way to charge you for it. The last straw was them scheduling a filling appointment a month and a half out then canceling a couple days before because the doctor went on vacation. I’m not really sure why they couldn’t schedule their vacation with as much prior notice as I had to schedule my appointment, but alas. I guess the appointment was just a gentle suggestion to Prima. A month later they tell me at 6:30pm the day before the appointment that my insurance won’t cover the filling because the tooth needed a different care less than two years prior. They tried to charge me upwards of $300 for a crucial service that I needed. Now I’m looking to find a new dentist to fill this cavity that I’ve had for nearly 3 months thanks to Prima. Never coming back.
