Great experience. I just moved to the area and I'm so glad to find this hidden GEM! Food was great, both dine in and the togo order we placed! Highly recommend going for their lunch specials, incredible value! We arrived right when they open. When there's a line waiting for a place to open, you know it's good!

Our first time there today. Not sure if it was an off day but the margaritas were clear like ice water. Got some to go food because it was a little early for dinner and that was very sad as well. We go to Mexican restaurants a lot in lots of different places and this was just bad. Only stopped by because we were waiting on a pick up order. The service was slow but friendly ( I totally understand the staffing shortage) Definitely if you want Mexican in Powhatan go to El Cerro Azul been there many times never had a bad experience.

Ordered chicken tenders for my 8 YO daughter, noticed upon receiving the food that the tenders looked a little odd, well that’s because it was a chicken patty sliced into 3 pieces. I guess the grocery store was out of frozen tenders due to Omicron on their last visit. Service was also not that great.

Stopped on the way back home from biking in Farmville. Owner was super nice. Got the street tacos. Wish the chorizo tacos were chorizo and papas but they are still excellent. Will definitely stop again if I'm in the area.
