A welcome natural area in the midst of an urban jungle. Folks, this is one of the things that big American cities have going for them. Natural parkland , unique and gorgeous. Enjoy one of Ft Worth's natural gems! Please dont trounce on unmarked trails!!!¡

I think the trails will be prettier when everything is green but I did enjoy the "hike." There are a bunch of trails but good luck staying on a particular trail. The signage is poor but who cares, it is nice to walk. You are not lost in nature since you are next to the freeway and cell/tv towers. However, it is still enjoyable and I like the fact there is still some undeveloped land.

This is Fort Worth's hidden gem! I can't tell enough people about it! It’s a real HIKE. The trails are challenging -- steep uphills and downhills with loose gravel, etc., so you feel like you're in a much more mountainous area than Fort Worth. Some portions even remind me of Appalachia! There are great views of downtown Fort Worth and the sunset, stream crossings, open prairies with tons of wildflowers in the spring, wooded areas with winding trails...this is my refuge when I need to get away and think and de-stress. You’ll see lots of rabbits and lightning bugs in the summer. The best part is you may THINK you're getting lost back there, but you're never too far from View Street, Meadowbrook Drive, I-30, or Oakland Blvd. Just keep walking and you're bound to find a way out! :) Especially if you're going uphill, that's usually the right direction towards an exit. I love just getting lost back there and seeing what part of the neighborhood I wind up coming out on. :)

A lovely, quiet area, not far from downtown, with a playground; swings, merry go round, and climbing apparatus. Water fountain, with a ground level Doggie fountain, and port o potties. I've seen many photographers taking Fall family photos lately, and it's easy to see why! The walking trails are narrow and beaten only by hikers/nature walkers, and not groomed or manicured, so wear appropriate attire. I took these photos from a great vantage point just last night.

Yes! There is a big patch of flowers at the main park.Spring time is when we went.
Yes there is one empty spot where people park their car ;in the side lane. You can also park on the roadside .
There are only a few small seasonal streams that go through the area. There are no ponds that I'm aware of to fish in Tandy Hills Park.
They should it would help in showing the outline boundary of the park
There is usually a huge field of flowers right by the street in the spring. It's just to the east of the park area on View Street. You will see them from your car after they start to bloom. Also, the trail into the hills stays flat for awhile, so if you are able to walk all the way to the trail entrance, you would be able to get a little ways into the woods.
You have to park. It's one of the few hiking trails in Fort Worth.
I have the same question. Maybe people were taking the doggie bags and NOT using the trash cans. I bring my own bags and pick up along the route.
This park is 100% free.
No it is a primitive park and trails.
If you follow the trail straight north you'll get an elevated, clear view of downtown and the areas north of the freeway. It's a great place to get shots of the open sky over Fort Worth.
