Check in was unnecessary difficult, we had to pay extra for our kids, but then didn’t provide us with any extra towels. Rooms were clean but our bed was practically blocking the entrance and there was barely any floor space. Aesthetic was on point if you want to feel like George Washington’s grandma. Beds were comfortable but i was on one that had a giant dip in it so idk how that happened. One thing that’s great is the location. It is walking distance from several restaurants and shops as well as parallel to the Boston T. Parking was tight and annoying and OVERPRICED. Maybe come here later after the the employees figure out how to actually run a hotel.

I booked this sight unseen due to its location to my old neighborhood. Growing up in Brookline I knew what to expect from a Beacon Street brownstone and this place met all expectations. Do not stay here if you want elevators and a concierge - it's not that kind of place. Stay here if you want a taste of Brookline as I remembered it as a kid, from the dual stairways (one for servants) to the Victorian charm of the era. The inn is extremely well located near two "T" lines (C and D) and within walking distance of many restaurants and other amenities. It is not staffed 24 hours a day but the day staff was always helpful and engaging. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay (I was at the 1750 Beacon Street location)and would stay here again if I go back to the city.

This is a quaint inn located in a mostly residential area of Brookline but close enough to public transportation and restaurants to walk. There are stairs to walk up to the guest rooms so know there is not an elevator. We had a room with two double beds and a private bathroom. Everything was clean and functioning as expected. The biggest thing to keep in mind is that it is a privately owned and operated inn, not a huge corporate chain. It provides a true Boston experience with some well loved and worn antique furniture pieces, and the hardwood floors may creek. It also has a lovely flower garden in front with a few bistro chairs where you can enjoy the free coffee and light breakfast each morning. They have a reasonably priced parking lot behind the building. My son and I stayed there to attend my daughter's graduation from BU, and it was a very pleasant experience. The front desk staff was pleasant and very helpful.

This place is now my favorite choice for lodging in Boston. The surrounding neighborhood is delightful, and this inn is adjacent to a clean grocery store and the Green Line. Special thanks to Carri who made our stay a joy!

Questions & Answers

Hi I before I confirm booking of the 2 double bed room may I ask if the standard is to have attached bath room, unless specifically stated? For example for some rooms it is stated with detached bathroom. Thank you
