Yes we do. You can look on our website for a list of items we would like. The website is www.compasshouse.org. Thank you so much for donating to Compass House.
You would need to contact the shelter directly for more information about availability.
We only shelter youth ages 12-17 at our emergency shelter. I would suggest you go down to the Department of Social Services at 95 Franklin Street, Buffalo and go to the "homeless window". They will help you get placed into a shelter. Good Luck!
The Compass House shelter is for youth ages 12-17. I would recommend you go to the Department of Social Services at 95 Franklin and go to their homeless window. They will be able to help you secure shelter. Good Luck.
If you are under 18, Yes, you can be pregnant at Compass House.
Call the Compass House and ask to speak to the Resource Center, as they will be able to give you better advice on what to do and where to go. Not sure how old you are, but the Compass House only provides shelter for run-away and at-risk youth under age 18, up to 30 days. If you stay at Compass house, they will not provide any child care services for you or your child while you stay there. They will not provide food, diapers, clothes or anything that works be necessary to take care of newborn's or children. Since you are married, if you stayed at the compass house, they would ask you to have either the child's father, your husband or your family to care for your child while you stay there. If you have an emergency where it's not safe for you or your child to live at home, they will refer you to another shelter that specifically handles women & children.
18 and older call little portion friary 7168825705
Not certain about age limits, but I have encountered kids as young as 12 and as old 17 there.
It's for Juvenile runaways. Call and ask if they have a bed available
Andy, contact me at the resource center on Monday
