We visited on our way home from Sandusky in the middle of winter. The lake was freezing and I think it was about 8° outside. I wanted to look for driftwood and a few cool rocks for an art project. The beach was fantastic. Lovely views. While we were there we got a photo of next to the cool sign and we got to see a beautiful bald eagle.

If you didn't know you were at Lake Erie you'd swear you were at the ocean! Extremely family friendly, sand and lake bottom are both comfortable to walk on. The only thing that they need to improve on are the porta-johns. They were almost full clear up to the toilet seat! They had a nice pavilion and plenty of grills (which were oddly short). The parking has gone up to $6, but it's a small price to pay for a great day with the family! Although I live 1.5 hours away it's worth the drive and I plan to visit again before my son starts back to school.

I loved this quiet public beach. There are lots of informative signs, some cute places for photo shoots, tables and grills, on site rentals and merchandise, a playground and volleyball court, along with outdoor showers and toilets. Yes, all …

Loved this beach!! Beautiful view of the Huron Lighthouse. Beach was clean & not crowded. …

From Memorial Day to and including Labor Day no dogs between 10:00AM and 6:00PM. But before and after those hours they are allowed. After Labor Day and before Memorial Day dogs are permitted any time.
We were there to eat are food. Didn't pay No Parking fee. But yes a police officer was there. Everyone looked like they were having fun in the sand and sun. Water looked tempting. Really nice place. Sorta full parking but still lots of spaces.
All the way out to the end is best you if you have to walk that's the best cuz before 5 p.m. you have to pay $6 to park but you can walk into the place for free
I don't think any motorized vehicle is allowed in past the buoys.
Memorial Day through Labor Day, dogs are only allowed before 10 am or after 6 pm. The rest of the year they are allowed anytime.
During thunderstorms and heavy winds
They have a parking area that cost 6 dollars to use and there are some spots you may be able to park a trailer
I've stayed at the comfort inn everytime and it's only a few minutes from the beach. It's very clean and very reasonably priced
I love it I go to the water 💧 because it's peaceful, but yes it was a few out there with their children.
Dogs are allowed there after 6 pm cause the sand is really hot between 10-5 pm
Yes
No it is closed due to recent deaths involving currents . Yes they have port a John's and a renting aera for beach items that has a changing room
This was open for visitors when we were there. Great sandy beach and plenty of space to sprawl out.
No it's shut down too many people have drowned. Not gonna open till they figure out the safety
They are all open
Yes. It depends on the day and wind direction.
Yes
I am pretty sure there is not but Erie Metro Parks might have something like Kayaking
I was there today (March 2, 2019). I didn't see any prohibition, so bring yours.
advisory was lifted this morning
Theyre open 9-9 Its a gorgeous beach! Take lotsa floats and sand toys.
During the day I think it's $5 for the carload. But we got there after 4 and there was no one there. But there is no lifeguard after 4.
Yes you can...in fact there was a guy scanning all over the beach the day i was there.
If you found the beach, you were in the parking lot.
There is a beautiful sandy beach with a rock pier to walk down but the rocks are not straight.
