Just terrible. Secondhand embarrassment from the actors was too much. Had no idea what was going on in the plot—something about the future and eating us as meat and rescuing a sister? You go in thinking it’s going to be a regular haunted house and instead it’s an interactive play that is very cringy. I’m thankful that my group had a good sense of humor and were able to laugh at least. Would definitely recommend not going until they change their structure of their show. Either make a better storyline or just stick to good ol haunted houses with jump scares. There is no competition in this area of VT so them selling out is not a sign of a great show.

This year was my first time attending, so I can't compare it to the in-person experience. I really liked how the online show was executed, and I had a lot of fun! The transitions between live and pre-recorded scenes were very smooth and I don't recall much in the way of technical difficulties. The clue packet and puzzle set up was charming, and the cast and crew were very engaged and seemed to be having fun. We did have a to be pretty quick on the draw with poll responses and the brief lag threw off the timing of some challenges, but I feel confident that with a little more polish that can be improved. I definitely recommend attending with a friend! Looking forward to next year :)

We just got done the virtual Nightmare Vermont experience. It was amazing! Very interactive. You can tell everyone involved put a lot of time and energy into the show. Thanks Nightmare Vermont!

Hi Carrie, We're an all-volunteer haunt with a scare maze and a narrative walk-thru. We give at least 10% of our earnings to charity each year. While we fancy ourselves pretty good for what we are, there are certainly theme-park level professional haunts that leave us in the dust. We're a bunch of passionate locals who love the art of scaring and storytelling.
Our content is for 13 and up, but we do not deny entry to younger kids. We do, however, have a hard rule that NO ONE can enter our haunt if they are unwilling, and children cannot be unattended. If your kid doesn't want to go in, we won't allow you to drag them in. If they safeword out of the haunt, you'll need to accompany them out. We also, and I can't believe I have to say this, but it's happened, can not allow babes in arms. It's a liability insurance thing. If someone jostles you and hurts your baby, we don't want that on our consciences. We're not THAT evil. :)
How much to get in
I'm afraid this year's show is not accessible for wheelchairs. Usually we have a little more space and can make accommodations, but 2019 I'm afraid we couldn't give you a comparable experience with a wheelchair like we usually can :( I'm so sorry, but please keep us in mind for 2020.
I think Google is listing the hours of the Expo, not Nightmare.
