Note: this review is for our experience at this specific branch. As a member for over 20 years and someone who loves DCU, it’s tough to write this review, but unfortunately accurate. We visited this branch in anticipation of our car purchase and regarding a loan that had already been pre-approved. We were looking for details on the process so that we would be able to seamlessly purchase a car from a far away dealer during one trip. We made this visit one week in advance to ensure we had everything in order. We were given incorrect information on how the process would take place and arrived at a dealer two hours away with a newborn in a five year old. We found out as we were sending off the purchase and sale that everything we were told was incorrect and we would be unable to get the check to purchase the car. This information was communicated to us in a condescending tone by another associate at the branch who implied that I misunderstood the information that was shared in our previous meeting. This other associate also failed to request my member information and call me back on a secure line to address my issue. It was essentially “Welp good luck with that”. It would have been greatly appreciated to acknowledge the misinformation that was shared and then work to find potential resolutions for our predicament. This branch needs to educate all employees on key processes and encourage them to speak up and ask for the right information when they are unsure so they do not mislead clients.
