We purchased our fireplace from them in 2009. It stopped working several months ago. We called and spoke to someone on three separate occasions over a period of 2 months beginning in December of 2021. Despite promising to do so, they never called back. The website says they are open but apparently unavailable to provide any services to customers. If they are going out of business, they should just say so. UPDATE: They finally contacted us in February and asked us if we were still interested in getting the repair. Two well informed technicians showed up in mid-February and after inspecting the fireplace and cleaning it determined it needed a new pilot assembly. They said they would call in a few days and tell us what the parts cost would be. That was 2 months ago. Still waiting. They have not returned our calls. The check I wrote for the service call was uncashed for 2 months. I reached out to them a week ago and was told they would find out what's going on. They haven't gotten back to us. This ordeal is now 5 months in. I'm not sure if any laws have been broken but I think this company should be investigated by the BBB. We are stuck with a fireplace that has not worked in 6 months and have been unable to find anyone who can make the repairs.UODATE #2. Still no word. Apparently they are refusing my request. My next move is calling the manufacturer directly to tell them my story.

Horrible first impression. I called to ask a question and got an answering machine. It gives the hours and says leave a message. No opportunity for sales, installation, inquiry etc. Just thank for calling, the hours and leave a message. As an example if I was making a delivery and needed to speak to them No Bueno. Not my case but seriously with wireless and cell phones somebody should answer. I feel like I called a person's house. The pandemic has people short staffed etc. I get it but really. So if I drive there and they are closed then it's a wasted trip. Will need to look elsewhere. No customer service. This explains the negative reviews for others reasons. I guess they don't have their !@#$ together. If anything change the message to say we are busy, what department do you want something. If nobody is there, you can change the message remotely as well. No excuse will justify this.

The people at the Fireplace Place are not honest. Find another fireplace business. If you ignore this and other negative reviews here - by no means should you give them any money before service or parts are delivered.
