The work Family Hearth and Patio did for my wife and I was tremendous! They basically transformed our living room by remodeling our fireplace completely! We purchased a new gas fireplace from Family Hearth and Patio in December, and the install was completed in March. Paul the owner was very helpful in assisting us in how we should reface our fireplace. I can't speak highly enough of the job Pat did by installing all the stone around our new unit. Pat went above and beyond to ensure the fireplace looked exactly how my wife and I wanted it. He cleaned up after he was finished everyday, and respected our home. Kenny also did a great job installing the gas unit and configuring our log set. Elisha was great at communicating with us for scheduling the deliveries and project start dates / times throughout the install. Overall A+ experience. If you live in southeastern Connecticut and are interested in buying a wood stove, look no further. Family Hearth and Patio is your place. First impression is when you walk in the door. A+ right off the bat. Friendly, professional and listened to our needs. After listening the recommendations came with NO PRESSURE. They came to my home and gave us a professional consult and even more recommendations that SAVED US MONEY. We made a purchase and signed the contract. This is part one of the journey. With their knowledge and professionalism, I am not even concerned about how well the install will be. Stay away from Preston Trading Post!! Very rude costumer service. Family Hearth and Patio is your one stop shopping from start to finish. No middle men. I will recommend Family Hearth and Patio to others.

Very happy with how our insert came out! Price was very competitive. They took the time to ask us what we were looking for. There were delays with our install due to shipping issues but they always kept us in the loop and fit us in immediately when our items came in. We always felt included in the whole process which was comforting to know we were lost in the shuffle while waiting on all the pieces to come together. Would defiantly recommend Family Hearth and Patio.

Family Hearth and Patio literally transformed my room into a living room! I rarely write reviews but I must give credit where it's due. From the initial design stage with Bence and Paul who helped me decide on the right type of fireplace within my budget that both added warmth and ambiance to my home, to the custom buildout phase done by Pat to the follow-up done by Kenny, the whole experience was seamless and professional. On Day 1 of the build out I knew I had made the right choice, I arrived home to a neat and clean construction site where they had lined my floors with protective paper from my front door to the living room. Pat is meticulous with his carpentry. Every detail was done with pride and precision. Paul and Bence have great follow through, always picking up the phone or returning calls immediately, keeping everyone on schedule. Kenny treats you like you're the only customer he has that day even though you know they're on a tight schedule. I use my fireplace nearly everyday. I absolutely LOVE it! I couldn't recommend Family Hearth and Patio enough for when you're looking for a beautiful and custom fireplace solution with custom carpentry done by a team of people that truly care about their customers and have passion for the work they do.
