This is a difficult question to answer because prices don't correlate very well with size. A safe with thick steel walls will cost more than one with thinner steel, and will provide better protection against thieves. Similarly, a safe with more and better fire protection will cost more. As both the thickness of the steel and the thickness of the fireproofing material detract from the interior volume of the safe (often to a surprising degree), it's important to choose a safe that will serve your needs rather than trying to purchase the "best" safe. It's also important to remember that thick steel is heavy, and therefore more difficult to install in your home or business, and therefore more expensive to deliver. Harder for a thief to walk away with, too, of course. That said, we carry safes ranging from $250 to $3,000 or more, and a pretty wide range of them can be had in the $1,000 to $1,500 dollar range. We also carry some used safes which are worth a look.
