We gave birth here years ago and it was great. Very sad to see new policies that wouldn’t allow both sets of mothers and myself to encourage my wife in labor with the two person limits, my father in law got kicked out of a empty waiting room in a building that was largely unoccupied and we can’t even bring our daughter in to see her new brother. While the staff seemed put off by having to enforce rules they still did. People who don’t have boots on the ground are deciding what’s best and it didn’t seem to consider the emotional wellness of the patient. My wife wanted a home birth and I talked her out of it. Seeing now the difference in delivery and visitation I feel terrible for talking her out of it. Some simple common sense and better social distancing practices could have changed everything. Very sad and hoping this isn’t the “new normal”
