I always feel ripped off when i go to the DMV. Fees are outrageous. However this office is well managed , friendly and. Supremely professional. They really are good. They never disappoint.
If someone comes from WV to NC to purchase a car (private sale), would they be able to obtain a temporary license plate to drive it back to WV that day? We will have the title notarized at the local DMV.

For a private sale? Usually you'll just need to get the title notarized and it helps to get a bill of sale as well.

I have a vehicle that is still titled to my husband and myself. We are now divorced and he has given me a power of attorney to take his name off of it, which I agree to. What else do I need to do? is there a fee?

You have to go down to the Tag office. They have a Notary. So they will help you with that. But he will have too sign the Title.
if i just purchased a used car from a dealer and paid cash when i take the paperwork to the LICENSE PLATE AGENCY ....is it okay for my wife to take care of all this or do i need to be there myself and vehicle will be in my name on title

You will need too be there yourself. You go too the Tag office to take care of that.
I just bought a used car for my son. Do I need to have insurance to before I register the title in my name or do I have a certain amount of time to get it after its registered?

No he will need too have insurance before he can even get a license. But you can put him on your policy. So he would give your Insurance company name.
