I have repeatedly and respectfully asked to be removed from RBARI's mailing list, yet I continue to get inundated with emails. It really shouldn't be this difficult to get one's name removed. It's so frustrating. I've spoken with the Director and the office numerous times.

My absolute favorite shelter!! The staff are so lovely and the shelter is very clean. The animals look well cared for and had toys and everything! We were given time to interact with the kitties and the staff were knowledgeable about every one of them. Can't recommend them enough!

I highly recommend adopting your next guinea pig or pet from RBARI. I felt really supported throughout the adoption process and was given a lot of information on how to take care of pigs, including tips on how to pick them up from the cage and cutting their nails. Staff/volunteers were really sweet and amazing. It’s also really much better to adopt than shop for guinea pigs as the staff have great knowledge about which pigs are able to get along with each other plus these guinea pigs are typically tamer. It was a great experience.

RBAFI is fantastic. I was getting so discouraged contacting rescues, filling out applications and not getting any call back and then I found RBAFI and they had a beautiful 5yo dog that I was interested in adopting. I emailed them directly asking if Belle was still available to adopt instead of filling the application out first. I had a reply the next day saying yes and a link to the adoption application. I filled out the application and the next morning Heather contact me and said she got the application and thought we would be a great fit for Belle. She was very knowledgeable about Belle's situation and was able to answer all the questions I had. She even said they "cat tested" her being in my application it was noted I have two cats. She did great with her cat test and we setup a meet and greet for the next day. They stayed open late on Friday being I didn't get out of work till after they closed. When we got there Alison brought Belle out and we were in love. She is very sweet and full of love. They took good care of her while she was there and it showed. Alison was able to answer additional questions we had and also was familiar with Belle's situation. We absolute wanted to adopt her and she came home with us that night! She has been fantastic and she gets along absolutely perfect with the cats who immediately wanted to meet her when she walked in the door unlike when people they don't know come over or other dogs. I suggest if you are looing to adopt a pet check RBARI adoptable pets first. Their only goal is to give animals a chance at a good home. No ridiculously outrageously high adoption fees, no ridiculous questions, no ridiculous request like signing a paper saying they can come to your house at anytime to do a welfare check. REALLY there are rescues out there asking for that and $1,600 adoption fees. Those places are the reason why people buy dogs instead of adopting and clearly RBARI recognizes that and do their do diligence to place a dog in a good home without all that other nonsense. Thank You so much RBARI. Pictures will continue to come!

Hi! This should help answer your question: https://rbari.org/volunteer/volunteering-at-rbari.html
Thank you for asking. We do not have rabbits. We only have dogs and cats at the shelter.
Angels for Animals, or Friends of the Animals, I believe is the name. They will give you a certificate for a major discount for fixing your animals if you use one of their local vets. I have used them before. Good luck!
