Sometimes it is very unfortunate when you have to deal with court issues. But I will say that all the people I have spoken to in the Clerk's Office have been nothing but polite, respectful and professional. They exemplify southern charm and hospitality. All workers in government services should take lessons from these folks.

Usually district criminal is on the first floor second courtroom after you enter. District civil is usually the first courtroom after you enter. Probable cause and domestic violence court is on the second floor first courtroom (ctrm 3).
You can go to the clerks office with the file number and ask for a copy. It's $2.00 for the first page and 0.25 for each additional page. If you don't know the file number, the clerk can find it by your name.
When you through security ask them....they will tell you

If born in NC, for an additional fee you can come to the Rowan County Register of Deeds and do a state wide search and get it there if the person was born after a certain year.

I don't know about Rowan county, but the the county my husband worked for had the Friday after Thanksgiving off. The traded Columbus day for that day.
