You are better off checking the dumpster for a bargain. The home store is ok, but often is priced like retail. The home goods building is way over priced. The second floor, what they consider less than desirable, is very hot and overpriced on very used items. Mindboggling at times. I have found numerous items priced way over retail. I get that its a charity, but their intake is completely free to them and the store raises what I would guess is millions. And they fill dumpsters daily with items they don't think will bring top dollar. Super wasteful and a complete rip off, but tourists eat it up.

This place is awesome. It's the best store in NC & SC. Great prices. Friendly people. I have refurbished a cabin (with gently used and new items that still had the price tag on them) from the furniture side of this place and from the building supplies side, which are next to each other on Washington Street. Check out both stores. (The furniture store has an upstairs and an elevator, so be sure and go up there too!) You name it, I have bought it there. You never know what you're going to find, day by day. Locals donate wonderful items to this store. Thank you!
