We were asked by Shawn to modify our original review with the hopes that he would improve ie be much more reliable and consistent, so we did. But unfortunately, he did not follow through as we had hoped. Since April (2018), we have had 3 trainings with him and it is now Sept 2018. We were required to pay upfront. I was getting a new puppy and I was sorry I trained my dog with clicks and treats. For 14 years he was looking for the reward. It was amazing to see her working with Shawn. After 15 minutes she was looking up at him with googly eyes. She’s amazing on a leash immediately! I’m disabled and it would be a disaster if I couldn’t walk with her without pulling. Thank you Shawn!

We called Shawn to help with our Buddy Lincoln who we were having difficulties training. We had in the past employed many trainers with little success, one of our trainers even said that Lincoln was not trainable and that we would be stuck with his aggression. We called Shawn as a last resort, with hope that Shawn could help us. We were so pleased with the strategies and tactics Shawn showed us to train with. Shawn gave detailed lessons, helped us each step of the way and provided guidance through the whole process. Shawn has made a significant difference for our family and we whole heartily appreciate all the hard work he put in for us. The toughest part of the training is understanding that Shawn is actually training you as an owner to practice the tactics he is introducing to reinforce good behavior. Some times you know your making a mistake and you don’t stop. That’s what I did. This trainer was hard to get ahold of. The day finally came for him to get the dogs and he spoke to us like we were the dogs. All the time he had our pups, almost no communicatio. When it was time for them to come home he was odd and shifty. Rescheduling and evasive. When I drove out to get my dogs he was rude and almost combative. He treats the dog owners like dogs. I can’t imagine what he does with the dogs in his care. Our puppies came back to us sick and unweight. Puppies should have been gaining weight. We tried to get him to do anything to show remorse and he just dug his heals in and blamed us. Even trying to embarrass us. Save the heartache. Stay away. We feel so bad that we did not sue this man.
