On Christmas Eve I went to pick up a Turkey I had ordered from another local farm only to find out they had no record of it and we’re sold out. You can imagine my frustration. A few calls later I spoke with the folks at rainbow. I was able to secure a fresh turkey on the same day. They even met me at the store even though they were closed. My guests loved the smoked bird. From now on, Rainbow will be my first choice.

This now small farm was formerly all turkey but now raises chickens as well. Not hard to find but not in the main road. They have vastly reduced the number of birds they raise and are slowly re-enlarging. They put a sign out and announce on Facebook when they have fresh chickens for sale. The chicken I purchased cooked up very tasty and seemed to shrink less than the typical grocery store bird. Support local farms!
