This IS the best Thrift Shop! For Home Furnishings & Menswear, I have never been to a better shop! Variety, quality, friendly & knowledgeable staffs, these stores give alot of value to your purchase! I find many items for re-purposing!

Housing works Chelsea on West 17th street is one of my favorite housing works to visit. Typically always have wonderful deals on items you may need for furnishing home from couches, tables, chairs, rugs, lamps. You name it they probably have it. They have three movers they recommend making it easy to get your purchase delivered for extremely fair price with an accredited and insured moving company. Staff and workers are all very friendly and there to help. Can’t recommend enough!

Close by, so easy to donate for a good cause. I walked in for the first time with huge bag of clothing (some never ever worn). I walked into the middle of the store and approached a counter where a few women were working. One of the women raised her head, gave me a one millisecond glance, then pointed her finger to where I had to drop it off. Not even a smile, or a simple, "hi, just drop it off over there". It was more like... get out of our faces, you're in the wrong spot, just like the 5th star in this rating.

Take an F or M train to 14th Street station and take 1 train to 18th Street station because it's very close. Not 6 train to 23rd Street station.
