Best nail salon ever

I've come here for years. Hands down best nail salon I've been to! I moved out of state during COVID and couldn't find a nail salon that was equal. I've recently moved back to MA, but not back to Salem and have tried a few places out and have been disappointed. I decided enough was enough and drove 45 mins up to Salem to get my nails done here with Yen. She is amazing! Highly recommend her and the Salem Nail Bar!

Went in today after my foot doctor's appt.....perfect feet! All I asked for was for them to polish my PERFECT tonails..not a polish change, just put the polish that I brought. It took less than 10 minutes. They were confused. The gentleman who greeted me when I arrived was very pleasant. I tipped the girl who painted them. When I checked out Cruella De Vil at the register told me it would be $15! I told her it wasn't a polish change, just a polish. No lotion. No water involved. She said $15! I wanted to be a Karen, but I held back. This was outrageous! My usual salon was closed. I got taken. I don't like to be taken. This bothers me so much. I feel that I was taken advantage of. I will never ever ever ever go back there again, nor will I refer anyone there as well. BE AWARE! I will be reporting them to the BBB.

I have been going here for years. I have referred all my friend and family. Not anymore! I myself get a mani and pedi every two weeks faithfully for over 5 years. My daughter had scheduled a appt for a pedicure and a fill for a 9:15 a.m a week prior Only to receive a phone call at 8:30a.m the morning of by her nail tech Kelly to inform her that she wasn’t sure who scheduled the appt but she doesn’t work till 10 and couldn’t do her at 10 because she already had someone scheduled for10:15. She advised my daughter to go in at her scheduled time and someone else would do her nails. My daughter did as she was told only for me to get a phone call a few hours later that her nails looked terrible. She came home and she wasn’t kidding. Her nails Were wider than her regular nail bed. She asked for me not to call and complain. We tried with a nail file to maybe file the sides and see how we can fix them since she was moving into college and had no time to go elsewhere. I did take initiative and call. I spoke to the boy upfront and he said have her come back for no cost and we will fix them and apologized. . I called back about an hour later and the owners girlfriend Kelly answered. I explained the situation again and she said oh and tried to make a few excuses. I insisted that her nails looked terrible not the color the shape was wide and made her nail bed look deformed. She said well we are going to have to charge her I said why? Whoever did them did a horrible job. She gave me such attitude. Of course I brought up how I have been going there for years and even when my gel would peel off two days later I never complained. After going back and forth I said you know what I am all set her response was we are all set with you also. I was horrified. I called my bank to see if I can stop payment. . Wasn’t possible but the teller also made a comment on how they have the worse attitude lately and her nails haven’t been lasting. At that point i needed the validation. A week later I am still mad and disappointed. I have of course told all my friends and family and they will not be going back. Very disappointing to be loyal to a business and In return be treated with such disrespect.
