Purchased their Merrimac mattress a couple of years ago and it is still fantastic. It is holding up great and has made each night a great sleep. Looking at their website they may not make this model anymore, but I'd recommend springing for something in the black series. Your money is better spent here than on any beautyrest, or anything another mattress store has. I did a lot of research before buying a bed, and I was happy to find Yankee Mattress. You are getting your money's worth, and I'd recommend taking it here.

Today my mattress from Yankee Mattress arrived so I can't tell you yet how it feels to sleep on it, but I do want to say what a great experience I had with the purchasing and delivery. Ken Gulliver at their Greenfield store has been selling mattresses for 32 years and knows his stuff! Unlike the man at another mattress store on Main Street in Greenfield, Ken was never pushy, just very informative. While I was there, there was a woman who tried out every bed in the place and then just left, saying she would be back. Ken just waved to her and said that he would be there when she returned. The day before the delivery I received a call from Tom Rasmussen, the dispatcher, giving me the delivery window. He was friendly and professional and the delivery came as promised. The company tells you how to prepare for a delivery. One of their instructions is to strip the bed. When I did so, I discovered that my box spring, which I had thought was in good shape, wasn't at all. So at 8:00 this morning, the day of delivery, I called Tom and asked if he could put another box spring on the truck. He said, "Of course!" and made it happen. At 11:00 I called Ken and paid for it. Just as I was doing that, I heard a knock on my door and it was Billy and Jack, who were delivering the mattress and box spring. They were both friendly and professional and made yet another great impression about Yankee Mattress. Clearly, Yankee Mattress and its people do things right!

6 Months after purchase, the sides were collapsing. I have to roll the blankets under my sides so I won't roll out in my sleep. Don't expect your mattress to last. Nice people and fast delivery, but don't buy this company's product. So they offered to "inspect it". I found somebody desperate for a mattress and gave it to them.

Best mattress buying experience ever!!! I will list all the exemplary points of this company: 1) No high pressure sales tactics. All they do is supply you with information to make the best decision for yourself. They do not talk down about other stores, or push accessories on you. In fact, as we were leaving the store, the salesmen thanked us for our time and said once we made a decision, if we decided to buy from them, we could just call and order the mattress. He also said it usually takes 1 and half to 2 weeks to build and deliver the mattress. We received ours in 1 and half weeks. 2) They do not require you to buy a "mattress protector" or "box spring" to maintain your warranty. The mattresses can be laid on floors, platform beds or existing box springs that are strong enough to provide firm support, without voiding your warranty. 3) The prices are fixed. There are no sales! The price you see is the same for everyone. With that said, the mattress we ultimately decided on was less than half the cost of our 8 year old mattress, and we like it better than we did that other mattress when had first gotten it. 4) The delivery team called several days in advance to schedule delivery. Then they called the day before to confirm. And then the day of to let me know they would be at my house in the next 2 hours, which they were. They were extremely nice and professional. Also, the removal fee for the old mattress was only $15. We would have had to pay $35 to bring it to the dump ourselves. The bottom line is that Yankee Mattress Factory is a fantastic, honest, enjoyable company! Our mattress is spectacular, and my wife's back issues are already much improved since sleeping on the new mattress over the past week. We highly recommend this company!!!
