C & D Canal Museum

Cat Lady

This is a small museum, it took us an hour to see and we read everything. It is well accommodating, I was able to comfortably use my walker. There is a ramp to enter the building. The museum well documents the history of the canal in the area. We didn’t see any workers there but there is a sign in book. The bathroom is on the side of the building and is very accommodating for those with mobility issues.

This is certainly a great place to visit with lots of History. Most of the history is never taught. But every once in awhile you find a gem in an out-of-the-way location on accident.

Very clean and interesting facts about the canal. Quick place to visit packed with info. Who knew the canal was as old as it states.

This museum is closed. It's listed as open here, but several cranky government employees on site let us know the public is not currently welcome. Hope they're able to resolve their personnel issues and reopen in the future.
