The building itself is gorgeous, and the reading room is lovely. I spend hours every week at libraries, and this is by far one of the most delightful in greater Orlando. As far as the staff--depends on who you speak to. I've had wonderfully pleasant and helpful experiences here. I've also found some of the staff to be utterly rude, arrogant, and dismissive. A wonderful place if you don't need to interact with staff with a question.

The friends of the library has a store which is operated by volunteers. The schedule does vary. It is best to call the library ahead of time to see if it is open. They have larger sales a couple of times a year and those are advertised on the website calendar and Facebook.
MPL is not part of the OCLS. In order to get a card, you must be a resident of Maitland. However, you would then be eligible for a reciprocal card from OCLS and Winter Park Library.

The library does not have a career counselor on staff. You may be able to find what you are looking for via Orange County's employee assistance program. (407) 836-9333
We partner with Health Central Florida for a community walk. They meet at the library every Thursday at 7AM.
Unfortunately, we do not have a computer lab that would allow us the capability of offering this kind of class.
