Got married here back in 2012. My wife planned & decorated our whole wedding & this venue gave us the most set up & clean up time; we never felt rushed. Pros are the beautiful views & grounds, flexible & accommodating staff & hours. Cons are not a lot of near by hotels & the barn has no AC. The fans help but most of our guests played lawn games outside during the afternoon heat & ventured back in to eat when it cooled down. I would recommend this place to friends and family.

Had my wedding this past Saturday, the 13th. It was beautiful, amazing, the staff was great BUT it was so oppressively hot in the barn. I, the bride was one of the first people to walk out because I couldn't eat due to the heat causing me to be so lightheaded and nauseous. I felt so bad for the poor DJ, he had to stay up there and play music after THE ENTIRE WEDDING ended up outside not 2 hours after the reception started. Now weeks before, lisa, the coordinator of The Hill assured us it would be comfortable, that was a joke. Now here's the best part, lisa told us the exhaust fan was "climate controlled" which is the biggest piece of bull I've ever heard. Matthew, our wedding planner said to my mom how the fan turned on, then turned off then turned on again, then turned off. That's not climate controlled, that's broken. After my parents shelling out $9,000 for this place, you'd think they could fix a freaking fan or have a better plan than just a bunch of ugly box fans all over. Dont get me wrong, the people who own the place are very nice and they have am amazing piece of property, I just feel bad for all the guests and my parents who spent so much to barely even enjoy it. Don't book for the summer, do the fall and it'll be so much better.

My review is way overdue. We got married at The Hill exactly 6 years ago today and were super pleased with the venue and the grounds. We looked at a few barns venues before finding The Hill and they all had downsides like time restrictions (site has to be decorated and disassembled same day as wedding) or mandatory lodging, were just too small or required bathrooms to be rented. The Hill is a large barn and seats many guests, they give you the entire weekend and Friday to set up for your wedding and clean up your decorations. The staff were very friendly and professional. The views and grounds are beautiful. We took all our photos on their grounds. Every time I see tiger lilies I get reminded of our wedding because they have pretty much fields of them growing by the Art Barn. Our guests were wowed by the site and still tell us that they had a blast at our unique wedding. The owners are also really friendly and nice. We would definitely recommend this venue for your wedding or any other big event. You will not regret it!
