We enjoy hiking here often. Before you go you should know when the gates are open, always wear orange when it's open and there's no cell service so be prepared. As always Don't Litter, carry out what you carried in.

Plenty of wildlife and birds. From fawns to frogs to northern flickers this area is teaming with cool critters. Snakes and toads and butterflies delight. Bear Cubs and turkeys dig these woods too. Use Caution-Lots of gas rig traffic on Panther Hill. If you have a CB (which you should if traversing Susquehanna County. Use Ch 38 to announce yourself and hear about trucks travelling along your way. Go slow- narrow and curvy road to the State Game Lands parking spot- most wildlife I have spotted were crossing the dirt road before the Young Water Impound site on the right.

No, you cannot. In Pennsylvania you can only camp at designated camp sites in parks or if you're along the Appalachian Trail, you can camp 1 night on game lands, at least 50ft from the trail, or streams, creeks or other bodies of water.
