I haven't had that experience. I have always found the staff to be attentive and professional
I believe I paid between 250 and 300 and my dog weighed 35 or 40lbs.
They are very reasonable. My Westie just had bladder surgery there. Cost was almost half as much as I paid another vet for the same procedure 5 years ago. I've found that Dr. McFarland is the most caring and knowledgeable vet I've every had.

I think the neuter on Chi weenie was around 500
