I can't recommend this practice enough! After over 5 years and 17 doctors, I had almost given up on figuring out why my body seemed to be systematically shutting down. No one had answers, only dismissive looks, suggestions that I was "making myself sick", and medications to treat the various, transient conditions. I found Dr. K. through an internet search after much prayer, and made the 3 hour drive in a final effort to find healing. He listened, and immediately ordered multiple tests, finding quite a few viral and bacterial infections along with other conditions including Lyme disease. I had asked two other doctors to be tested for Lyme and was literally laughed at for suggesting it. I am so grateful to have my life and health back and have sent over 15 friends to him with only positive feedback from all. They too are happy to make the 3 hour drive to see a physician who listens, cares, and has the knowledge and desire to find the root causes of their problems. This practice is a rare gem.

Today I was denied service because I did not feel comfortable to wear a mask. Here is my experience: I entered office and was greeted by the friendly receptionist, she checked me in and as she was about to lead me to the waiting room she politely asked if I had a mask. I asked her if it was absolutely necessary because I did not feel comfortable wearing one because lately I have been having problems with breathing. She said I would have to wear one in the DR's office but she would check with assistant. She lead me to waiting room and the assistant came over shortly (with her mask below her nose by the way) she did not take any time with me to ask what was going on or why I was requesting to be seen without a mask. She just said you have to wear a mask and I said I am not able to. She said it again and I said so if I don't I can't see the DR? She said again I would have to wear a mask. I then said this DR is not going to be the right fit for me. She said OK! very happily and started to walk away. I had to stop her to ask about refunding my deposit and she quickly handed that task off to the receptionist. There were no solutions offered- perhaps a virtual appointment would have worked better for me, or something. The other receptionist whom was very cold was not able to process my refund until her manager came in. The refund was processed very quickly after however. To be a holistic health care facility and refuse to assist people and deny them for the very basic of breathing fresh oxygen still blows my mind. I highly recommend not going here because it is very apparent they only care about money. I guess you have to buy their oxygen services if you want to breathe. I'm very happy I saved thousands of dollars. Update: if you want a DR. Who really cares I suggest Holistic Medicine Wellness Center

I had put on 30 pounds in 2 years that I couldn’t get off. I had sore spots and knots on my legs and back the size of grapefruits. I’d get a massage to work them out, and they’d be right back and just as painful the following week. My back was cramping frequently. I was fatigued and had to take at least one 2-hour nap every day and sometimes 2. I didn’t see the pattern or realize it was all related. Then I got a virus and hit the wall. I felt like I had a bad case of Mono. Everything took so much effort. The only things I got done were get out of bed, move to the couch, take a shower, and eat. I was constantly exhausted and had a bad case of brain fog. I didn’t have the stamina to do even basic things around the house. My blood pressure was running 170/99 or higher. The initial blood tests showed Lyme, high Epstein Barr count, Cytomegalovirus, low thyroid, and a leptin count that was 4 times normal. Dr. Amar added supplements and IVs and ordered several more tests. I flew to Florida from the Midwest to spend 2 months getting IVs that I couldn’t get up there. It was worth the effort. The treatment I had been receiving from my doctor in the Midwest was more aggressive than my body could handle. I was so sick that my body’s ability to detox was greatly impaired. I would spend 3.5 hours at the doctor getting IVs, but my body couldn’t get rid of the die-off. I would often be much sicker for as much as 3 days after an IV up north. Then all those toxins would get reabsorbed by my digestive system (I didn’t understand that at the time). It was miserable. It felt like the treatment was worse than the illness. If you want to read more about the process I recommend the book Toxic by Neil Nathan, MD. It’s a tough read, but worth the effort. After a month of getting IVs down here, the brain fog, intense fatigue and all over body pain and cramps greatly lessened. The IVs at Dr. Amar’s didn’t make me sick. My blood pressure dropped to normal levels, and I took off 15 pounds with very little effort. During that time, I also had the opportunity to interact with Dr. Kirti Kalidas during some of my IVs. Both Dr. Kirti Kalidas and Dr. Amar Kalidas truly listen to their patients and are compassionate. They’re looking at the complicated puzzle of a person’s health trying to find the best path for that individual. They don’t have a cookie cutter approach like many other doctors. Their staff is also amazing. Everyone I have ever interacted with at their practice is pleasant and caring. The nurses in the IV lounge are pleasant, and patient with questions. The front desk personnel always say good morning and goodbye. The supplement store is well stocked, and the staff is helpful. When I call with a question the medical assistant listens and tries to help me. These may sound like simple kindnesses, but I work with another practice where the front desk’s favorite word is no, and I sometimes feel like an inconvenience to them. New tests showed toxic levels of heavy metals and mold. Dr. Amar changed the IVs and medications. That’s where I am right now as I write this review. While I’m not as strong or healthy as I was 2 years ago, I am vastly improved from just 2 months ago. I can do many things I couldn’t do when I started treatment and I have large windows of time where I feel almost normal. I have faith that Dr. Amar will guide me down the path to the best health I can reach. I am committed to following his plan and sticking with him the rest of my life.

You’re business men, not doctors. Who charges patients $200+ for a phone visit?

The Center for Natural and Integrative Medicine is non participating with all insurance companies. We provide you with a detailed receipt with procedure and diagnosis codes to enable you to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.
