Went with my family to see the Vandalia State House Memorial. Very nice, clean, and the guide was informative. We did our self-guided tour and had plenty of questions. The museum will be hosting a candle lit event on December 10, 5-7pm. The entire house will be lit in candle and you will be able to tour. Should be a good evening!

This place was so great to see we actually got to walk where Abraham Lincoln walked. The information lady was so knowledgeable and friendly. It is a self-caught tour which is nice cause any can do your time. It’s a must see

I love the way that Illinois goes to such an extent to preserve (and bring to life) its rich history.
