They do have the plastic screens up between the customers and employees. They use a tray for transactions which I never understood unless you're sanitizing the basket in between customers. And they have the markings on the ground.
That happens to us occasionally also. I think they get too busy sometimes. The owner has said that their phone line has gone down before.
