Great spot. Offer military discount. Staff super friendly. Let you bring your dogs into the caverns. Fun, informative, knowledgeable volunteer tour guides. Cute rock shop gift shop. Have spelunking tours. Pretty easy walk as far as caverns go. Loved this place.

Our tour guide was very entertaining and knowledgeable about the history of the caverns. This was the first cavern experience for two of our kids and they learned so much and were engaged throughout the entire tour. The entire staff were super friendly and I am glad we chose to stop here on our trip to Tennessee.

Awesome place, great prices, people, and tour. The people who work here are so genuine and kind. The cave is also great, even with just the walking tour you see and learn a lot, Pound Puppy knows what he is talking about. I would recommend everyone I know to come here at least once. Greg is also a WV native, which was great!

This is such a great place to stop and see! It’s been saved in my google maps for two years now, and I finally got to go! A GIANT metaphysical shop, a whole bunch of gemstones, geos, raw and tumbled stones. The caverns are privately owned, they live above the shop, and the cave is below. You can’t touch the rocks because human oils stop the rocks from growing. The caves were huge, dark and a little chilly, there’s bats, a flowing natural spring, natural rock formations, and just everything was awesome. Our tour guide was awesome, funny and informative.

I took my dog with me last week. You have to go in and tell them you have a dog with you first and it has to be well behaved. But be careful because my dog tried licking one spot in the cave as the quide was telling us not to touch that water because of roundworm and such.
I believe it was 15 per person got 3 adults. Maybe 9 for kids. 5 (3 adults and 2 kids) went in for about 55 bucks.
I'd call and ask them
Maybe about a mile long. Possibly 1.5 round trip. It wasn't a long or hard walk especially with all the stops for stories. Hardest part is the initial entry/exit of the cave as its a steep hill.
There is very steep inclines to walk up and down. Also some spots are very slick. I wouldn't recommend for someone who has trouble walking.
You can't bring a wheelchair into the cavern. There are stairs and the path has a steep slope.
There's a place called The Worley's cave near Watauga it is a few miles deep, it is owned but you give the guy $5 he will lend you the key that lets you through the Caged entrance. And you can go without a guide.
The cave tour starts at $12 per person and gets cheaper for kids and elderly. That is for the standard 1 hour tour. If you want longer or a wild tour then it gets more expensive per person. There is also a gift shop with various stones for sale thats neat and inexpensive.
