Upon arriving at Shiner’s, we were greeted by two employees and they were quick to discuss our options. That is where the positivity in our visits ends. Following taking our car cleaning order, the employees asked if we planned to tip before even working on our car. We thought it was an odd question, but said “yes”. Immediately following this, they both said if we planned to tip, to tip them directly because the owner/manager steals their tips if you do it at the register. We don’t carry cash, so this wasn’t an option for us and after explaining that the only way we could tip is by card, their attitudes changed for the worse. Long story short, we got our car back and the outside was pretty decently done, the interior was not. You could tell the dashboard, windshield, cup holders, and center console weren’t cleaned even though we paid for the interior clean :( Following giving us our keys back, the two employees who greeted us told us we could go to the ATM at the gas station across the street to take cash out if we wanted to tip them directly. We explained we left a tip at the register and if their owner/manager were stealing their tips, they should probably contact their State Labor Office. Overall, we feel like we wasted $55 on the exterior/interior clean, the employees were unprofessional, and the owner/manager apparently steals their tips. I can’t wait to see how the owner responds to this review. We read his/her responses while waiting for our car to be done. Based on the reviews, the owner is in complete denial about their business and fails to take any responsibility for the negative reviews.
