Stopped to checkout sites for a possible future reservation and ended up being approached by some rude lady who apparently is or thinks she was in charge. Basically told us its a private campground and we needed to be on our way. Needless to say we will take our money elsewhere.

Lake heron is one of the most beautiful relaxing campsites I have ever been to ! We have been going for almost 10 years ! It’s private and secluded! There is not good phone reception so it was nice the kids were not on there phones ! The owner is a beautiful soul !! 😁

We had a great stay in the Cherokee cabin. It's got 2 sets of bunk beds against one wall and a table and bench against the other. There's no electricity but there is a propane lantern. Outside there's a fire ring with an attached grill and plenty of wood to be found.

Great place to camp, fish and be alone. The owner is a caring soul. I'm happy I found this place, and have been coming here for over 12+ years.
