The hotel was in a sketchy neighborhood in East LA, near LAC+USC medical center. I picked this hotel because it seemed pretty central to most places I wanted to visit by public transport. Microsoft Theater, LAX, Dolby theater, Griffith Park and more were all about 30-60 minutes away. The lobby was a little dirty and contained outdated tourist pamphlets, but for the price I didn't expect much better. The rooms looked recently renovated, minus the shutters which let in a lot of light from the outside. The one thing that surprised me was how quiet the rooms were. I could barely hear the people in the nearby rooms and the outside environment. The most noisy thing for me was the rooms ac which sounded like something was loose. There were no bugs or holes in the sheets which is why I picked this hotel out of similarly priced budget hotels. I only interacted twice with the front desk worker who I assume were the owners. The lady was very friendly and made me feel very welcomed, she seemed to take pride in the establishment which was nice to see. Overall, despite the location, I feel this was a great value for a tourist on a limited budget. If this was in a higher end area it could easily be a four star rating.

My family loved to stay at this hotel because we could relax here. They all have complete room facilities and the room is so relaxing. The staff spoke decent English and was very polite and explained the facilities available such as free daily entry to the onsen next door as well as priority access plus low-cost rooms. Thanks for the excellent service!

Limited Free parking inside a small garage . The front desk let me park against the wall because all the actual spaces were full ,that was cool. Located in downtown Los Angeles , reasonable prices, Nice basic room ,flat screen tv mounted on the wall , spacious . Refrigerator and microwave was in my room. Back windows in my room overlooking a business parking lot.
